Being a volunteer in Thailand with the Thai
Child Development Foundation will be a great new
experience and adventure and for sure it means a lot of fun for
many people. To become a volunteer you need to be over 21 years
old, you need to flexible, being able to work indepently and in
a team, know about the foundation and it's aims and of course you
need to be able to communicate in English.
Being a volunteer with the foundation also means living in a
simple dormitory with a lot of people, or in a old wooden house
with a mattress on the floor, or sharing rooms with people you do
not know. It means cooking your own meals and eat rice three times
a day.
Not all people realize this when they prepare their trip to
Thailand. That is why you will find 4 links to our Volunteer handbooks
on this page, which you can download. In the handbooks you will
read all about the projects, your role and responsibilities, what
you can expect from us, the living conditions and much, much more.
Please read the information in these handbooks if you want to
become a volunteer with us, after that you can click on 'How to
apply' and contact us.
Volunteer handbooks
These handbooks are made for everybody who is interested in the
projects done by our foundation. You will find a lot of information
on all the 'whos', the 'wheres', the 'whens', the 'whats' and the
'hows' of being a volunteer or becoming one. The handbooks are illustrated
with several pictures and drawings. Elementary school students made
these. We think the pictures and the texts might give you some extra
insight in Thai culture!
