Organizations we work together with

Cooperation

Volunteer work is important for the Thai Child Development Foundation. It is a way to help realize a dream. Without volunteers, without people who invest their time, knowledge and enthusiasm we could never realize the projects in Phato.

Of course the Thai Child Development Foundation is not unique in this believe, there are many organizations who think like us. Therefor we are proud that we are able to work together with the following organizations.

Working together with these organizations helps the foundation. And next to that the work that these organizations do, contributes a lot to many projects that help children.

This means that because of all these organizations much more people can learn about:

  • thousands of projects and initiatives all over the world

  • the possibilities to work as a volunteer

  • Together we make a dream come true!

Japanese and Dutch volunteers: culture exchange and friendship

  • all those people out there who are following a dream and who are trying to make a difference.

SIWYvonne, the first SIW volunteer to join a TCDF project.

It started in the year 2000: a Dutch girl - Roos Tieges - went to Thailand as an intern for SIW to help set up projects there. She worked closely together with the people from NICE (Japan). Many projects are done over the years by Roos and many other SIW and NICE volunteers.
In 2003 Roos started her own foundation: the Thai Child Development Foundation. And the connection with SIW is established again: since March 2006 Dutch volunteers can join the projects of the foundation via SIW.

SIW was set up to help people realize projects with the assistance of volunteers. Initially only projects in Holland, where many projects were realized with the help of SIW volunteers. Later the projects went beyond the borders of Holland. Europe, America, Asia, Australia and Africa are on the list of SIW. SIW informs people, organizes information weekends and prepares their volunteers for the job they are going to do and the places they will visit and live in.
