ALL OF YOU
This is to thank of all you who donated so generously to the Thai
Child Development Foundation. Thanks to all of your donations,
big or small the foundation can help the children under the wing
of the foundation.Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. All donations
that are made are spent on the children and the projects of the
foundation directly. Overhead costs such as transportation, housing,
food and salaries are not paid by foundation money but covered by
Runs 'N Roses. This is therefor not only a thank you to people who
donated so generously to the foundation but also to our guests who
have stayed with Runs "N Roses.
Reports have been made on some of the projects and activities and
can be red on...................................... However we would
like to state that this is far from compleet. The staff and the
volunteers of the Thai Child D
evelopment Foundation work WITH and FOR the children as much as
possible and try to limit the time in the office to a minimum. We
thank you for your understanding and your kind support.
Annemarie en Nol Potters
The first few years that the Thai Child
Development Foundation was active in Phato it was located
in a rental house. After a few years of working on the set up of
the projects, all coordinated from a rental house in the village,
the time came for Thai Child Development
Foundation to have her own location. A plot of land to
build a Creative Learning centre, with a school, sportclub, a farm,
dormitory, a home for the children, etctera. Annemarie and Nol,
the aunt and uncle of Rose made the purchase of land, and with that
the dream of their niece, possible by making a huge donation.
Thank you so much for the support and the trust.
Maria Tieges
Maria Tieges, Rose's mother has been supported to the Thai
Child Development Foundation in various ways right from
the beginning. Besides donating to make the purchase of the land
possible, donating the car, the frigde and so on, she is an active
boardmember as well as a wonderful grandmother for all the children
in Roses home. THANK YOU OMA! For all your support.
Friend auht
After a generous donation in 2006 to support the pony club, a part
of the Creative Learning Centre,..... has made an other contribution
to the Thai Child Development Foundation
this year. We where able to finish of the building of the sportfield,
an other project of our Creative Learning Centre. A part of the
donation can still be used for the transportation of handicapt children
of the rehabilitation centre to our premises. Here our volunteers
organize activities for these children in the pony club as well
as the sport club.
We hope to welcome......... to Phato some day. Untill then, thank
you so much for your blind support and your trust in our projects.
The Hageman family
In August 2006, Margaret and Rob Hageman visited Runs
'N Roses and the Thai
Child Development Foundation. They came in the pouring
rain together with their three kids: Marijn, Nawien and Tjannerie.
Before they came to Thailand, they organized a party in Holland.
No presents, but money was giving then. This money they used to
support a Children Home in Songkhla (southern Thailand) and a part
of that money was given to the foundation. Thanks to Margaret, Rob,
Marijn, Nawien and Tjannerie the foundation is able to start building
the sport fields on the premises! A football/taekraw field, a volleyball/basketball
field and a petanque field will be constructed soon. After the rain
stops!
Johan
and Annet de Vries
In July 2006 Hiske de Vries came to Phato to be a volunteer with
the Thai Child Development Foundation.
She started to work in the schools and came to the dormitory in
the weekends. She donated money from her parents - Johan and Annet
de Vries - for the dormitory. Thanks to Johan and Annet the volunteers
now sleep in a fresh painted room, with a lot of light coming from
the roof, the kitchen has a great storage and outside a area for
sitting is created. Many volunteers will spent time here and for
all of them the foundation thanks Johan and Annet - and Hiske of
course - for their gift!
Marieke Smit
Marieke is a close friend of Rose and has helped the foundation
in various ways. She is also the only person who donates to the
foundation EVERY MONTH! Thank you for your support.
Jan and Astrid
Jan and Astrid are good friends of Rose and her family and very
involved with the work of the Thai Child
Development Foundation. When the possibility came for
us to buy a plot of land, Jan and Astrid donated money to help purchase
it. Next to that they have sponsored the building of the buddhist
centre which offers a place to sleep for the monk when they visit
the foundation as well as an area to organize educational activities.
And there is more.... Jan and Astrid have donated several laptops
form Jan's work which are used in the office of the foundation and
by volunteers for there projects as well as student in the scolarship
program. And they have sponsored the purchase of a motorcycle with
side car for Rose to pick up the children from school. In the near
future they are hoping to build a private house on the land too,
so they can be close to the foundation and our family! It is lovely
to have them close to us and they support us in many ways, including
many tips and idea's!
Thanks Jan!
Thanks Astrid!
