Work as a volunteer with TCDF

In 2005 the Thai Child Development Foundation started working with (international) volunteers. The focus of the work is on projects in local schools and on the premises of the foundation. The projects differ, from educational to construction, to gardening and so on. For example:

• Since 2005 we organize English Summer Camps in April and October. You can read the reports and look at the pictures.

• May 2005: the first long term volunteer came and started the program 'The world I live in' in a local school. Many volunteers joined the program since. Now 9 schools are participating.

• in September 2005 the first volunteers participated in a project on horse back riding with local kids. Now we have riding lessons for the kids every weekend.

• in 2006 our Japanese friends came and started the clay-house building project with us, we are still building

• several attempts were made to start a garden, finally in 2007 we can say we have a real ecological garden that will supply us with our own vegetables. The garden was realized because of the hard work of many volunteers.

• the Creative Learning Program welcomed many volunteers since 2005 until now, who used their skills to be involved with Thai kids. Like: a recycle backpack project, a cookbook-project, a postcard project, a recycle pen-case project, and many volunteers did many more projects.
